Key Responsibilities Research the history and usage of African American English words and draft dictionary entries Review the work of other editors to ensure editorial quality and adherence to house style Contribute to the development of a lexicographical model for the ODAAE and promote its work through various channels Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Good knowledge or experience of African American English Good knowledge of African American literature and culture Good knowledge of Standard American English, including syntax and grammar Experience using various resources for research Academic or practical knowledge of the history and theory of variation in English preferred
