Remote Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes for hospital inpatient services Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations to facilitate proper billing and reimbursement processes Collaborate with the medical billing department to ensure all billed services are properly coded Qualifications & Requirements Proficient in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems At least one of the following credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, AHIMA, or AAPC Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding procedures Knowledge of data privacy regulations and confidentiality guidelines Familiarity with EPIC and Optum software
