State Licensed Privacy Counsel

A company is looking for a Privacy Counsel. Key Responsibilities: Partner with cross-functional teams to assess privacy and security risks and design mitigative measures Develop and implement privacy infrastructure, policies, and procedures to scale privacy initiatives Oversee privacy compliance functions, manage responses to privacy incidents, and support commercial transactions Required Qualifications: J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one US state bar Minimum of 6 years of experience as a privacy lawyer with knowledge of global privacy laws Strong understanding of the tech environment and ability to engage with software engineers Experience managing data security incidents and familiarity with data breach notification requirements Proficiency in negotiating and drafting complex contracts related to privacy and security
