Texas Licensed Outpatient Coder I

A company is looking for a Coder I (Hospital Outpatient) to work full-time during the day. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret health record documentation for code assignment Assign and sequence ICD10-CM and CPT codes according to guidelines Maintain coding proficiency and complete required training and education Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent, or completion of ICD 10 and CPT coding courses Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Technology or Administration is acceptable 1 year of experience in acute care hospital outpatient coding preferred, but not required with certain educational qualifications Certification as CCA, COC, RHIT, CPC, or RHIA required within 12 months Proof of PPE/internship hours may be required for certain educational paths
