A company is looking for a Director of Bioinformatics Engineering. Key Responsibilities Develop robust bioinformatics tools and workflows for clinical genetics research and innovation Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research pipelines into scalable solutions Participate in the full lifecycle of bioinformatics tools from design to ongoing maintenance Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or related field Minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in bioinformatics or computational biology Extensive experience programming in Python with a focus on software engineering best practices Proven expertise in developing and deploying bioinformatics workflows, preferably with Nextflow or similar frameworks Experience in cloud and HPC environments, including containerization technologies like Docker
