A company is looking for an Acute Coding Appeals Specialist. Key Responsibilities Integrate medical coding principles to perform coding appeals and address billing/coding issues Participate in client education to ensure coding is supported by clinical documentation and regulatory standards Maintain documentation and perform research to identify coding and billing requirements, making recommendations to clients Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Active Coding Certification (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CPC, COC) Five years of previous experience in coding Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems Previous inpatient facility coding experience, including working appeals and denials
