A company is looking for a Data Protection Officer to lead global data privacy and compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Advise on data privacy laws and regulatory compliance globally Provide legal advice to support product development and security compliance Assist in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements related to data privacy Required Qualifications At least 10+ years of legal counsel experience, preferably in SaaS and data privacy IAPP certified with CIPP/E; CIPP/US is a plus Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required Solid knowledge of data privacy frameworks in the U.S. and Europe Proven experience in implementing data privacy initiatives in a software company
