Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor to extract clinical information from medical records and assign appropriate codes to patient records. Key Responsibilities Review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement and handle provider disputes Analyze and manipulate databases to ensure accurate claims payment and appropriate DRG assignments Respond to internal requests for medical information and make decisions regarding work methods Required Qualifications RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification with at least 4 years of experience MS-DRG coding/auditing experience Minimum of 1 year of experience interpreting claims At least 3 years of experience in inpatient coding reviews/audits in health insurance or hospital settings Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
