Patient Access Advocate
A company is looking for a Patient Access Advocate I. Key Responsibilities Perform patient registration functions, including updating demographics and verifying insurance Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with insurance benefits and liabilities Ensure accounts are financially cleared at the time of service and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year in customer service Must pass the Patient Access Academy with a score of 85% or higher within 6 months of starting Certification such as CHAA or CHAM is preferred Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology preferred
