A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep I. Key Responsibilities Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge for insurance payors to ensure proper reimbursement Conduct prebilling/billing and follow-up activities on open insurance claims, obtaining necessary documentation Communicate with internal teams and external customers, acting as a liaison to validate and correct information Required Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate computer and software systems Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) Ability to read and interpret documents such as explanations of benefits (EOB) and procedure manuals
