Certified Coding Quality Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Specialist responsible for auditing coding engagements. Key Responsibilities Perform complex retrospective analysis of medical records to identify coding and billing errors Analyze audit findings to identify root causes of coding errors and prevent recurrence Provide technical support and training to internal coding staff on compliance and documentation Required Qualifications and Education Certified coder/auditor (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPMA, or equivalent certification from AHIMA or AAPC) 1+ years of auditing and coding experience in inpatient, outpatient, profee, facility, and surgical coding Experience with Epic and electronic medical records systems preferred 5-7 years of experience coding and/or auditing in an acute care facility or clinic Familiarity with hospital outpatient billing processes and coding documentation requirements
