Dutch Language Instructor
A company is looking for a Dutch Language Instructor to provide language instruction for the Defense Language Institute - Washington (DLI-W).
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional foreign language instruction in classroom and virtual environments, tailored to individual student needs
Utilize proficiency-oriented principles and culturally-based materials to enhance language acquisition and real-world application
Integrate diverse instructional technologies and engage students in higher-order thinking skills to promote independent learning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience in teaching adults using proficiency-oriented methods
Four years of teaching experience may substitute for educational requirements; experience with educational technology preferred
Must be a native speaker of the target language with strong English skills; near-native proficiency may be acceptable with documentation
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles
Must have Oral Proficiency Interview scores of Level 3 or above in the target language and Level 2 or above in English
