E&S Specialty Underwriting Consultant
A company is looking for a Consultant, Contract Underwriting - E&S/Specialty. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite individual risks for acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions Achieve production and loss ratio goals through effective territory management and marketing strategies Foster positive business relationships with agents and brokers while resolving conflicts and providing support Required Qualifications: Five+ years of brokerage casualty underwriting experience in Excess & Surplus lines Undergraduate studies and completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS, or ASLI preferred Eight years of underwriting experience handling large or complex programs and accounts preferred Ability to analyze complex insurance risks and make sound underwriting decisions Experience in developing and implementing business plans and strategies
