Iowa Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Review and ensure the integrity of clinical documentation through extensive record reviews
Educate and communicate with healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation standards and practices
Collaborate with coding staff to ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses and resolve discrepancies
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing, Health Information Technology, or an advanced degree in a medical field
Preferred certifications include RN License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, or CDIP
Experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing, or as an inpatient coder
Proficiency in using standard desktop and Windows-based computer systems
Data entry skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
