Mainframe Application Support Engineer

A company is looking for a Systems Analyst 2 to support a government modernization initiative focusing on mainframe systems. Key Responsibilities Support daily operations and application uptime across mainframe systems Troubleshoot system and application-level issues, coordinating upgrades and disaster recovery testing Participate in change management and provide after-hours support for nightly batch schedules Required Qualifications Strong background in mainframe systems, especially in batch processing and job scheduling Experience in monitoring and resolving issues in production and test environments Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and TSO tools for debugging and support Able to manage support tasks with minimal oversight and stay organized across multiple environments Comfortable working in cross-functional teams to support development and infrastructure needs
