Key Responsibilities Manage coding operations for inpatient medical records and ensure compliance with coding standards Train and monitor coding staff performance to maintain accuracy and compliance in coding practices Collaborate with health system leaders to enhance documentation integrity and meet organizational goals Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent, or RHIA/RHIT certification 7 years of relevant experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role in coding or clinical documentation integrity Demonstrated knowledge of coding regulations and experience with electronic health record systems Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and experience with quality improvement initiatives in coding
