Texas Licensed Animal Surgical Trainer
A company is looking for an Animal Surgical Training Specialist in the Animal Resource Center.
Key Responsibilities
Train and evaluate research and ARC staff on laboratory animal survival surgery techniques
Develop and design training materials and curriculum, including hands-on instruction and assessments
Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines related to laboratory animal care and training
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in science, education, or a related field
5 years of experience in training methods and techniques
5 years of experience with rodent procedures, including 2 years in aseptic survival surgery
Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) or veterinary technician license required upon hire
Certification by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) is preferred
