Texas Licensed Inpatient Coder II
A company is looking for a Coder II (Inpatient) to work remotely with flexible hours. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret health record documentation for accurate coding and DRG assignment Calculate MS-DRG, Severity of Illness, and Risk of Mortality levels per coding guidelines Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialist to enhance coding accuracy and documentation quality Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required Completion or training in ICD-10 CM/PCS with 95% accuracy required 2 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute hospital setting required AHIMA or AAPC coding credentials (CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC) required upon hire Preferred: Associate's Degree in Health Information related field and RHIT or RHIA certification upon hire
