California Licensed Employment Counsel
A company is looking for an Employment Counsel for a 6-month contract position. Key Responsibilities Finalize employment handbook/policies and develop employment templates Provide legal advice on employment-related matters and ensure compliance with employment laws Conduct legal research and collaborate with HR and management on employee relations issues Required Qualifications 3-6 years of experience in employment law, preferably in-house at a tech company JD degree from an accredited law school and Bar admission in at least one U.S. state Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with California knowledge a plus Some familiarity with compliance and privacy law is advantageous Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively
