A company is looking for a Head of Legal and Compliance. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with government agencies and commercial customers Manage compliance programs and serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies Partner with outside counsel on corporate legal matters and ensure operational efficiency Required Qualifications J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. state bar (California preferred) 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on government contracts and defense industry compliance Experience with defense contractors, government agencies, or law firms in aerospace and defense Deep understanding of ITAR, EAR, and DFARS/FAR regulatory frameworks Ability to operate independently and build systems in a fast-paced startup environment
