Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students with visual impairments, including braille instruction Provide virtual instruction through synchronous and asynchronous learning platforms Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education Active New York certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired Strong understanding of IEP development for visually impaired students Comfortable using technology for instruction and communication
