Oregon Certified Urology Coder

A company is looking for a Urology Coder (Coding Specialist III). Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation and apply correct coding and modifiers for complex specialty surgical procedures and highly specialized services Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations and monitor accuracy of coding submissions Provide technical expertise on third-party payer and reimbursement issues while orienting peer coders or new hires Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of 4 years of professional or hospital coding experience in ICD-10-CM or CPT Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT) Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and federal/state insurance billing laws Ability to pass an internal coding test to qualify as a Level 3 coder
