Radionuclide Transport Engineer
A company is looking for a Functional Containment and Radionuclide Transport Engineer for a remote contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop analytical models for quantification of radiological source terms during normal operations and anticipated occurrences
Support the development of mechanistic source term methods for postulated accidents and perform technical work for regulatory submissions
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to establish performance, safety, and quality requirements for radionuclide containment functions
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience with containment analysis and radionuclide transport assessments using relevant codes such as GOTHIC or RADTRAD
Familiarity with nuclear design, regulatory requirements, and risk-informed performance-based technology guidance
Knowledge of PRA principles and familiarity with the ASME/ANS Non-Light Water PRA standard
Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams to address engineering challenges
Understanding of NQA-1 requirements associated with analysis and software management
