A company is looking for a Sr. Underwriter to evaluate loan applications and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Key Responsibilities Review loan submissions and generate initial credit decisions based on various investor guidelines Evaluate mortgage loan applications for eligibility and compliance with state and federal guidelines Perform credit and property analysis, including the review of complex tax returns and income calculations Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience Current experience underwriting VA mortgage loans Government underwriting experience; CHUMS and/or SAR ID Direct Endorsement (DE) and/or LAPP/SAR certifications
