Motion Designer/Animator (After Effects)
Overview:Salary: based on experienceStart date: as soon as possible. We're looking for a creative, passionate storyteller, with an array of creative and technical skills to join us as we expand our animation and motion design services. You will be working closely with Sandbox's leadership, media, and design teams. You will feel just as comfortable animating an illustrative, story-driven piece as you do creating informational motion graphics for a mixed-format video. You'll contribute to a range of projects by supporting visual research, concept development, storyboarding, and design?while taking the lead on executing animated and motion graphic elements across various media products.You will support:The leadership team in interpreting client and partner objectivesThe development of smart visual concepts to help our clients tell their stories and communicate their impactThe creation of moodboards, storyboards, and style frames that communicate Sandbox's vision to our clients and get them excited about the final productThe creation of graphics and illustrations to design and prep final assetsYou will contribute and be responsible for:Strong character rigging and animation skills to bring assets to lifeDelivering a high level of quality control on your responsibilities throughout projectsCollaborating with internal team members and freelancers including illustrators, graphic designers, and video editorsAssessing client feedback and proposing solutions that meet Sandbox's and our clients' objectives and best interestsWhat you bring to the table:Degree or diploma in animation, motion design, graphic design, or equivalent professional experience5-10 years experience in animation and/or motion designAdvanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and other Adobe Creative Cloud software, including using the programs in collaboration with video editorsExperience working in Figma and producing Lotties for web-based projectsStrong collaboration skills and ability to interpret and apply creative direction and feedbackProficiency in a range of 2D animation styles, from character animation to informational motion graphicsStrong character rigging skillsExcellent time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to revisions efficientlyDetail-oriented and organizedAn understanding of AODA and WCAG media accessibly guidelinesBonus if you have...Experience with both video and audio editing, including sound designExperience overseeing/mentoring small creative teamsFluency in French and/or SpanishStrong illustration and/or graphic design skills
