Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research and legislative history Prepare memorandums and analyze appellate briefs and trial records Draft court opinions and orders while collaborating with the judge and court members Required Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school or membership in good standing of the bar Working knowledge of trial and appellate court procedures and rules Prior legal, clerkship, or internship experience is preferred but not required American citizenship or permanent legal residency and a criminal background check required Excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills with knowledge of legal research tools
