Certified DRG Coding Auditor

A company is looking for a DRG Validation Coding Auditor. Key Responsibilities Perform documentation and coding audits for acute inpatient services, identifying errors and ensuring compliance Conduct clinical reviews to verify the accuracy of coding and DRG assignments in accordance with guidelines Provide feedback and education to coders while maintaining productivity and quality goals Required Qualifications and Education 5+ years of coding experience and 3+ years of facility coding audit experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required Current professional certification (CCS preferred) such as CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT Extensive understanding of reimbursement guidelines related to DRG payment systems Proficiency in multiple EMRs, encoders, and Microsoft Office suite
