A company is looking for a HIM Coder (C). Key Responsibilities Assign codes accurately to diagnoses and procedures in compliance with regulations Query physicians or hospital staff as needed to ensure proper code assignment Abstract data from medical records and enter required elements into the hospital information system Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma or equivalent CPC-A or COC-A certification required Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Experience using an encoder and EMR
