Clinical Data Abstractor

A company is looking for a Clinical Data Abstractor - PRN. Key Responsibilities Abstract key clinical data from medical records into the Patient's EHR and/or Provider forms Adhere to comprehensive abstraction process guidelines and maintain a 95% accuracy rate Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and hospital staff regarding clinical data abstraction issues Required Qualifications and Education Previous experience with electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner) Associate degree from an AHIMA-accredited HIM program or accredited Nursing program, or relevant certification At least one year of clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting or medical records department Passing grade in the Annual Introductory HIPAA examination One or more applicable credentials (e.g., MA, LPN, RN, CPC)
