FHA VA Government Underwriter
A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (West Coast) with experience in FHA and VA loans. Key Responsibilities Underwrite various loan types including FHA, VA, Conventional, Bond, USDA, Renovation, and Construction Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and maintain accurate documentation Assist in training other mortgage positions and lead underwriting resources and credit policy execution within the team Required Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of government underwriting experience Valid DE and/or LAPP/SAR designations to underwrite FHA and VA loans Recent frontline underwriting experience within the last 12 to 18 months Experience with DU and LP systems, including documentation and interpretation Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
