Our design studio and furniture workroom, based in Phuket, Thailand, combine cutting-edge technology with artisanal craftsmanship.Position Overview:We seek a highly motivated and creative Junior Furniture Designer to join our design studio. This role will focus on designing prototypes and 3D modeling using modern software and technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry-standard design software and tools and a passion for creating innovative furniture designs.Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the design team to create innovative furniture concepts and prototypes.- Develop technical drawings and presentation books- Support graphic design team- Develop detailed 3D models using software such as Rhino and Fusion 360.- Utilize modern technology, including 3D printing and laser cutting, to create prototypes and design samples.- Work closely with the production team to ensure that designs are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.- Assist in refining designs based on feedback and practical constraints.- Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute to the creative design process.- Maintain organized design files, documentation, and design updates.Requirements:- Thai Citizenship- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.- Excellent English comprehension and communication skills- Available to relocate and start working immediately- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Rhino, Fusion 360, and similar design tools.- Good sketching skills.- Knowledge of modern fabrication technologies, including 3D printing and laser cutting.- Strong understanding of furniture design principles and manufacturing processes.- Attention to detail and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Ability to work on-site at our design studio in Phuket.Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with Southeast Asian design influences.- Hands-on experience in furniture prototyping and working with materials.- Experience with CNC machines, CAD, and other design-related technologies.What We Offer:- A creative and dynamic work environment at our Phuket-based design studio.- Career growth and development opportunities within a leading lifestyle and furniture brand.- Competitive salaryTo complete your application, send your Portfolio to: mattia@punyisahome.com
