Network Operations Technician

A company is looking for a Global Network Operations Tier III Technician - IP/Ethernet. Key Responsibilities Lead technical escalations and support NCC technicians, engaging vendors and high-level customer contacts as necessary Support and cross-train IP ETH NCC technicians, compiling training documentation and delivering training courses Create and update network documentation and drawings, assisting with additional duties as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year university or technical school with a minimum of four (4) years related experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing Ethernet & IP networks delivered over fiber Intimate knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 carrier networks and networking protocols including STP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF Effective layer 1 troubleshooting skills specific to fiber links, including conducting OTDR testing Professional certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ciena, Arbor, Accedian) are preferred
