Nevada Licensed Clinical Documentation Coordinator
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Coordinator - Remote (FT).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to assess utilization and documentation of acute care services
Facilitate accurate physician documentation to reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality
Ensure compliance with external payer and regulatory agency requirements while contributing to quality of care reporting and reimbursement accuracy
Required Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent international medical qualification
Minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferably in critical care, medical/surgical, or Emergency Department nursing
Current RN license in the state of practice if applicable
Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
Knowledge of inpatient admission criteria, Medicare reimbursement, and coding systems is preferred
