North Carolina Appeals Specialist
A company is looking for an Appeals Specialist (Remote NC).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage member and recipient correspondence related to denials and appeals
Coordinate and support peer review processes and maintain appeal files
Respond to inquiries from staff, providers, and community members regarding clinical denials and appeals
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Certification in Allied Health preferred
2-5 years of clerical and administrative support experience in allied health and/or behavioral health settings
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Teams
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deliverables
Must reside in North Carolina or within 40 miles of the North Carolina border
