A company is looking for a General Counsel to support its legal team in analyzing and providing legal advice on various matters. Key Responsibilities Analyze and provide legal advice on routine to complex legal matters and commercial contracts Provide employment law advice and manage employee-related legal issues in collaboration with human resources Assist in developing corporate compliance programs and manage outside counsel related to legal matters Required Qualifications and Education Juris Doctor Degree (or equivalent) and active law license in Ohio or applicable jurisdiction 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including at least 2 years in employment law Experience as an in-house corporate counsel, preferably in an enterprise software environment Strong understanding of US employment laws; global employment law knowledge is a plus Proficiency in legal research, drafting contracts, and preparing legal communications
