A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter I. Key Responsibilities Submit loan modification workups and understand investor's waterfall and required documents for loss mitigation Communicate with customers, real estate agents, and attorneys to negotiate short sale settlements and manage account portfolios Review financial documents and determine suitable repayment options while adhering to compliance and operational risk controls Required Qualifications A combined 3 years' higher education and/or experience, including at least 1 year of collections or underwriting experience Bachelor's degree preferred Paralegal certification or experience preferred Mortgage collections experience preferred Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
