A company is looking for a CAD Consultant (SolidWorks) to lead high-impact mechanical design projects remotely from Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities
Drive advanced SolidWorks design projects from concept through final detailing, including assemblies and BOM creation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate engineering ideas into manufacturable products
Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on SolidWorks experience in a professional CAD or mechanical engineering role
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a closely related discipline
Deep understanding of 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, tolerancing, and configuration management
Expertise in mechanical systems design, especially related to manufacturing or industrial components
Solid grasp of material properties, fabrication methods, and mechanical functionality
