Carbon Markets Specialist

A company is looking for a Carbon Markets Technical Specialist (Home-Based). Key Responsibilities Provide advisory support on carbon markets readiness and facilitate the development of tools and knowledge products Advise government counterparts on funding sources for carbon finance and establish a private sector network for carbon projects Support capacity building through workshops and training sessions for governmental officials and stakeholders Required Qualifications Advanced University Degree (master's degree) in Environment Engineering, Technology, Finance, Economics, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree with additional experience Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with a strong background in carbon markets establishment Proven ability to manage the preparation of carbon projects across various sectors Strong knowledge of Article 6 UNFCCC decisions and independent carbon crediting programs is desirable Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is a plus
