Key Responsibilities Review medical records for accurate coding and compliance Abstract clinical information from medical records according to established procedures Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient acute care coding Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems Completion of an accredited coding program or equivalent education and experience Must possess one of the following credentials: Certified Professional Coder, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, or Certified Coding Specialist Preferred knowledge of acute care and critical access reimbursement requirements
