A company is looking for a Medical Coder II, Inpatient Hospital Full Time Remote. Key Responsibilities Abstracts information from patient records and assigns appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes Queries physicians for clarification on documentation and coding assignments Monitors coding work queues and ensures accuracy in billing and reimbursement processes Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Successful completion of a coding certificate program with AHIMA approval preferred Associate degree or equivalent training through at least three years of on-the-job experience required Certification required within one year of hire; acceptable certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CCA Knowledge of coding guidelines for ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
