A company is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor to perform audit validation processes for medical record documentation and diagnosis coding. Key Responsibilities Conduct audit validation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance of medical record documentation Review medical records and apply knowledge of Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes and other coding definitions Analyze information and respond to internal requests for medical information as needed Required Qualifications Established CPC or CPMA certification 1+ year of experience in coding or auditing Familiarity with Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding guidelines Ability to work independently and make decisions in ambiguous situations In-depth knowledge of coding definitions and their representation in medical records
