Database Engineer
A company is looking for a Database Engineer - MySQL to lead a complex database migration project from MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end migration of MySQL 5.7 databases to MySQL 8.0 across production, staging, and development environments Assess current schema design, stored procedures, triggers, and configurations for compatibility and optimization with MySQL 8.0 Develop and execute comprehensive migration and rollback plans, including testing, validation, and cutover strategies Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL Proven experience leading at least one major MySQL version migration project Deep understanding of MySQL architecture, storage engines, indexing strategies, and performance tuning Solid understanding of replication, partitioning, and clustering
