ROLE OVERVIEW:We're looking for an illustrator to become our first in-house artist at Skytear Games.This role blends illustration (the primary focus) with graphic design tasks. Since we're a small team, we need someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats rather than specializing in just one area.For illustrations, our current games feature a variety of art styles (see our website), but future projects may explore completely different directions. So, even if our current aesthetics don't match your usual style, we'd still love to see your work!As for graphic design, think of designing and laying out rulebooks, game components (cards, boards, etc), game boxes, or even marketing materials sometimes. This includes developing iconography, UI elements, and visual assets in general.You'll take projects from concept to print-ready files, ensuring everything is prepped for mass production. As we grow, you'll have increasing creative freedom, eventually defining your own art direction for projects.Based on your skills and interests, we can adjust the balance between illustration and graphic design. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to specialize in one or the other if that's your preference.In the day-to-day, you'll collaborate closely with our art director, writer, and producer, Riccardo Parmeggiani (did I say we wear many hats already? :)). We use Discord for communication and Trello for task management. At least 4 hours should overlap with 9AM-4PM GMT. In practice: Europe, Eastern Canada, US East Coast, and Argentina/Brazil.?
