Medical Collection Specialist

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team. Key Responsibilities Ensure daily accomplishments work towards cash collections and manage accounts receivable over 90 days Research outstanding balances, take necessary collection actions, and recommend demographic changes to patient accounts Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party collection agencies Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred A minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
