Policy Director

A company is looking for a Policy Director to lead and manage policy initiatives focused on reducing food loss and waste. Key Responsibilities Serve as the leading expert on food loss and waste policy and represent the organization in the Zero Food Waste Coalition Provide evidence-based insights and technical assistance to policymakers and stakeholders on food waste reduction policies Develop and implement the organization's policy strategy, identifying key issues and trends impacting stakeholders Required Qualifications 7-10+ years of experience in public policy analysis or related roles, with at least three years in a leadership position Strong understanding of U.S. public policy processes and direct experience in legislative or rulemaking processes Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field preferred Experience with food policy preferred Experience with data analysis and policy evaluation methods
