QA Review Specialist

A company is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Review Specialist who performs review functions to ensure accurate disclosures of PHI and PI in compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Reviews authorizations and requests for records to ensure completeness and validity Verifies that medical records correlate with authorizations and are patient-specific Communicates with team members and participates in QA team discussions Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in Health Information preferred RHIT or CHDA certification preferred, or ability to obtain 2 years of experience in a professional office or healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations regarding the release of Protected Health Information preferred Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn new software applications
