Texas Certified Professional Coder
A company is looking for a Certified Professional Coder Representative.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records to verify documentation for diagnostic and procedural codes
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, monitoring trends and recommending improvements
Maintain accurate documentation of coding activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
CPC certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in an outpatient setting
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and guidelines
Proficient in Google Sheets and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
