Thermal Hydraulic Analyst

A company is looking for a Thermal Hydraulic Analyst to support computational thermal-hydraulic analysis for a sodium-cooled reactor program. Key Responsibilities Perform thermal hydraulic analysis and engineering calculations for nuclear reactor core components using computational fluid dynamic software Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to analyze thermal and mechanical design considerations for the reactor and its components Prepare informal and formal reports to document findings and provide technical presentations to the broader team Required Qualifications and Education B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or relevant Engineering field from an accredited university Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the relevant industry with a B.S. degree, or 6+ years with an M.S., or 3+ years with a Ph.D Demonstrated ability in computational fluid dynamics modeling and simulation of nuclear reactor core components Expertise with modern CFD tools, preferably STAR-CCM+, and scripting in Python and Java Experience in the nuclear industry and familiarity with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) standards preferred
