A company is looking for an Infection Preventionist. Key Responsibilities Conducts surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and prepares reports Interacts with healthcare staff as a consultant and makes recommendations for infection control Assists with infection control education and evaluates hospital policies related to infection prevention Required Qualifications Current RN license with BSN preferred, OR Masters in Public Health (MPH), OR certified medical technologist, OR a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field Minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in a public health setting Must achieve Certification of Infection Control (CIC) within 6 months after required work experience Active Basic Life Skills certification is required for certain job locations Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for specific behavioral health settings
