A company is looking for a Facility Outpatient Complex Coder. Key Responsibilities Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring appropriate status for documentation Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations and provide mentoring for less experienced staff Required Qualifications High school diploma/GED or an Associate's degree in a healthcare field Certification as a CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or similar in active status Two or more years of outpatient complex coding experience in an acute care setting Knowledge of ICD CM/PCS and CPT4 coding principles Able to work effectively in a remote setting with coding software and abstracting systems
